I would consider an M41 OD conversion when it dies! I bet you could do it for about the same cost as rebuilding the BW auto and since you have the automatic type tunnel, it would fit with no problem. With the auto rear end ratio you could get some serious fuel savings with no penalty in performance too (compared to a BW35).
