Hello,

Mark the driveshaft before you pull it just in case it comes apart, which it shouldn't as it is held together with a large nut.

It is not necessary nor easy to split the early style of driveshaft as you have to loosen the nut all the way to disengage the front half, which is not easy to get on in the car.

Just pull the 4 front and 4 rear driveshaft flange bolts and pull the whole driveshaft as a unit.
