Want to learn even more than you will by swapping mysterious 'black box' OEM fuel injection components? Jump in with both feet and megasquirt the car.
You'll learn lots about how fuel injection and ignition computers work and interact with all the various sensors. And you can plug a laptop into the car and see exactly what's going on at all times. And you can log all the inputs and outputs.
Very interesting stuff, if you're into that sort of thing. And if you're especially gungho, you can even buy the Megasquirt controller as an electronics kit - a printed curcuit and lots of components, and solder it up yourself. I'm not *that* gung-ho - I bought mine pre-built. But I have broken out the sodlering gun and made changes to it a few times to add features.
