Do you have the wiring diagram for a 75 240? Unless I mis-wrote BR goes between the + position on the keyed ignition and coil. It helps to know that purpose of a BR is to reduce the voltage to the coil while running (and thus increase longevity) and the straight 12v (from the extra connector on the starter) is to give a hotter spark during starting only.
