bosch electronic ignition in 142 problem 140-160

I don't have the wiring diagram for a 75 240 (just going by what you've described). I initially tried installing the ignition with the V Classics web-instructions, and I ended up using the resistor in between the fusebox/ black box, and the starter. This pretty much had the same result. Maybe I should try driving the car without the resistor if you think the voltage drop isn't the best scenario.
From what I was able to find about the firing order for the b20 is that it is 1,3,4,2 counterclockwise (which hasn't changed at all from my original set-up). I don't understand why turning the distributor counterclockwise speeds up the idle instead of the other way around?
