hard to start when engine is cold 140-160 1968

No I haven't checked the compression in a couple years, and it was around 140 across the board back then. I know I can probably get it up to at least 150 if I deck the head down to B20 E specs. Does anybody happen to know the height of the combustion chambers on an E head? I had my F head surfaced but I'm pretty sure they didn't take nearly enough off. When I do this work I want to do it right and probably do the bottom end at the same time - installing my Isky cam in the process.
