In the Clutch... 120-130 1967

Sorry I didn't see your post right away, I was out of town. Motor mounts are fairly easy (even the rear one with the car on stands). As always, disconnect the ground strap on the battery. Jacking up the engine can be done carefully by using a little piece of 2X4 under the front edge of the pan. Split off an edge to make it thinner to slip behind the pulley and use it horizontally, not vertically. Watch out for the hoses at the rear of the head and, of course, the radiator. You can drain and remove the radiator for safer/better access. If you leave the radiator in, undo the two radiator bolts at least. Before you jack the engine, first remove the big lower nuts on the mounts and then when it's raised take out the three smaller bolts that hold the upper part of the mount to the engine. Remove the generator or alternator for access if you leave the rad in but watch the strain on the hoses.
A friend is useful. You may find the nuts easier to remove with a vise-grip clamped to the metal disk. Do one side then the other.
The rear is a little harder and usually a lot greasier. Support the transmission with a jack and take out the crossmember and rear tranny mount as a unit. Clean it up a bit and disassemble. Take note of the rubbers orientation for reassembly. A vise does help for driving out the old mount and driving in the new. Easiest way to remove the old is to cut away the rubber and hacksaw the metal band that's pressed into the casting. Try not to cut into the casting. With the band cut it pushes out easier. Lay the casting on something hard and tap firmly around the edge of the new mount to drive it into place. Center it in the casting. Have a cold one handy for after but you will love how stable your new engine is. Happy wrenching.
