Art,
I charged the battery. The car will now start.

I tried cleaning up the alternator connections as you indicated. The charge waring light still will not illuminate with the key in the run position but engine not running.

The Bentley book says that if the bulb is burned out the charging system will not function. Do you know what bulb I need to try? Can I get at the bulb fixture from below or do I need to pull the instrument cluster?
