Can someone tell me, if there is no pulse from the RPM sensor, do we have a no spark condition or no fuel condition, or both?
Same question for radio suppression relay.
Somewhere in the FAQ I had once seen a descriptive writeup of the sequence of events when one goes to start the engine. I cannot find it, anyone know where it is?
Still can't start the '91 Regina 740 b230f auto... damn car is immaculate with under 100K, and ever since I did the sensor tests (OBD with sensor probe on socket 6), the tests passed, but the car no longer starts... does not fire at all, just cranks. We have had the car since almost new, it's completely unbutchered, maintained only by me.
- New RPM sensor, no change.
- Took apart the coil assembly, cleaned the contacts, no change.
- Coil resistance looks good.
- Fuel pump relay runs pump for 1 sec when key in position2.
- When I crank I get no fuel coming out of the rear of the fuel pressure relay.
Thanks,
Greg
