113 code, Did I cause? 900 1994

"If I am reading FAQ's correctly I am essentially just back probing the Black(sensor)wire and chassis ground? How hard can I push through the back without damaging connector?"

You don't have to "push through the back" of anything. Just follow the black sensor wire towards the firewall wire till you come to a rubber-covered connection to the heavily insulated Green wire leading to the ECU. You can peel or pull the rubber boot back to probe the exposed metal connector that carries the O2 sensor signal.

Probing with the black wire connected you'll see what the ECU sees, with voltage hopefully swinging fairly rapidly either side of 0.5V, with very few swings lower than 0.3V or higher than 0.8V.
