Hi folks.
I posted this in another thread but it would be better on its own.
To "fix" the A/C in my car, I am thinking about pulling components out of a 1991+ car. What should I pull out of it? I am already thinking of the following:
- late power steering pump (built-in reservoir)
- late compressor (rotary) (I think I would like a new one but cost is a big factor. Right now I have more time than money.
- P/S and A/C bracket to mount on black (is it a bolt-on for the B23F?)
- I am also thinking of the condenser and its fan. Will the condenser be larger than my 84 one? Should it fit? (and clearance for the fan?)
- Should I worry about the evaporator?
- what about the dryer? I know that this should be a new part. The one in my car is at the front and small, while the one on a later car is near the firewall and much larger. Will I need to bu one of that type?
- what about hoses (bot P/S and A/C), which ones should I pull out of a late car to make sure everything connects?
Anything I might have forgotten?
Thanks!
