What to pull for A/C 200 1984

That does sound like a big job!

I think that I want to try to get the parts for under the hood and get that to work, leaving the old evaporator in place, as well as control knob etc...

A question that just came to mind....all those cars at the pick n pull have their hood open. It does rain from time to time here. Is it safe to pick parts such as a power steering pump or a compressor if they might have been exposed to rain? It does dry quickly out here. One thing to note is that it looks like most of those parts don't seem to have any caps left on...
