What to pull for A/C 200 1984

Thanks. I'll look into the new condenser.

I did go to the pick and pull today.

I got the power steering pump and its 2 lines (oh what a pain to reach the fittings at the bottom), although it's missing the cap. I'll check to see if my current one will fit. Looks like it's also a press-and-turn type, unlike the remote reservoir ones. There was no other car with same pump at the junkyard.

I got the bracket and all the bolts. It was a REAL PAIN to get all of that stuff out and to reach the bolts. It took me hours really.

I also got the electric condenser fan and all the mounting stuff.

I also pulled the high pressure fitting for the compressor from a 1988 car (still has the same dryer and hose configuration as the 1984, more or less). I guess I'll have to have a new hose made for that. The one returning from the firewall, the big hose, seems like the exact same (I compared the 1991, 1988, and 1985 cars at the JY).

I did not get the compressor. For the cost of it plus getting it clean and refurbed, seals, oil and all, I might as well buy a new one as they can be had for decent money, like a Sanden 709, and enjoy more years from it.

Getting this stuff out required about 50 different types of wrenches and some contortions...A good thing the cars are already well lifted, but no fun with all the rocks and broken glass...

What should I do with the power steering pump before I installing, when I get around to that? It was open, and I'm pretty sure it should be flushed and cleaned up. What product to use?

Thanks!
