You're probably seeing replies that were to threads that are no longer around, and sometimes those replies go on the board as new messages (like when you see a new topic that's "Re: Subject", but it's actually a response to another topic). I don't know why that happens, but I don't think you're seeing anything unusual, and I can still read his posts in the Opinions forum, so they weren't deleted.
