Chris, you read it correctly, I wrote it wrong.
Years ago I remember I had to remove the hub nut on a VW Bug (I think). The procedure was to loosen the nut with the car solidly on the ground and torque it while on the ground. I had to stand, bouncing on the wrench to take it off. I can't recall the tightening torque but I think it was 150 ft-lbs. I used to weigh about 150 lbs and w/o a torque wrench, I measured 1 foot from the center of the hub and stood on the wrench. (Could have been 150 ft-lbs 6" from the center for 75 ft-lbs.) That is lot of weight for a car supported with a jack and hopefully a stand or two. I don't know what the torque would be with the additional 45 deg over 74 ft-lbs is. What I should have asked is if the hub can be tightened or loosened with the wheel on to help support the whole car and even lowered to touch the ground. I imagine that the additional 45 deg may approach 100 ft-lbs or more.
