Advancing timing for more power--- anybody have any advice? More power = more engine wear?

You can probably advance it a few degrees and use high test octane gas. Then you get the extra power at the cost of more expensive fuel.

Remove your fan. It's winter, you won't overheat -- and if it starts to boil over, just turn the heater full blast.

Empty out the junk in back. Lighten the car.

Align you front end to zero toe-in, zero toe-out.

Jack up your tire pressure to 75 psi (only kidding, only kidding).
