The corn doesn't grow itself. It requires machines to plant and harvest
the corn and the fertilizer and pesticides are both very petrochemical
and energy intensive to make.

So, if the plant that turns the corn juice is as efficient as a refinery
that still begs the question of where the juice comes from in the first
place...
