Well, since you asked for suggestions: drive within legal speed limits depending on road, weather and traffic conditions and you will not need a radar detector. Otherwise, if you should get a ticket, pay the fine and chalk it up to the expense of seeing how fast your brick can go. (Wish we had something like a Bonneville Salt Flats in Calif!!)
