In Minnesota refer to Statue MS 299.C37 use of a scanning receiver. Dont get caught in MN with a scanner in your car, many officers see this as a tool of crime. I also know the diffrence between a scanner and ham radio, something many of our officers DONT know.

Careful with this one in other states, Michigan will arrest and jail you and I believe CA also has a similar law.
