hmmmm...not sure about the "warm up the engine" advice below. Although I haven't seen any advice from Volvo on this, my 97 Chev Lumina has this decal under the hood: "Caution! Never remove spark plugs with engine hot. Damage to aluminum heads may occur." Yeah it's a Chev - but aluminum is aluminum.
