Left field is where you defend against the power hitters. Yes, things could have changed since Chuck saw the flashing test lamp. Or maybe it wasn't really flashing on and off but just pulsing a bit under the compression load of the starter motor? But cranking does sound a lot different without the cam turning. Could there be a way the aux shaft would not turn and yet the cam still does? I don't know...
