Alternator conversion 1800 1964

I used a GM "one-wire" alternator, made a nice bracket out of an exisitng Volvo generator bracket and have had nothing but success since doing this mod ten years ago. I've only had one alternator failure and since I initially bought a lifetime rebuilt I got another at no charge. This conversion eliminates several wires and its reliability speaks for itself. It's just not original but neither is the rest of my car.
