The little bulbs which light the dash (there's 3, I think) are grounded, and thus will only light, by way on their installation. You might want to check to see if any are blown of not snugly fitted. They are accessed by way of laying on the front floor, reaching up and trying to fit your hand up there to pull them out to check them. I've used needle nose pliers to help. Perhaps you would want to lightly sand the holes where the little bulbs go. You'll need a flashlight, of course. But sometimes it's helpful to turn the lights on while finding, and fiddling with, those bulbs.
