Intermittent electrical problems are sometimes a challenge to locate and repair...the trick is to be ready to troubleshoot and repair, the next time they occur!
Fuses should be replaced if blow open due to overcurrent obviously, but also if they have a lot of green stuff growing on them either in the middle OR at the ends, or if they show other signs of thermal fatigue along the conductor.
The ends should be cleaned (scotchbrite pad or similar) and treated with anti-corrosive paste during installation...and cleaning the tiny holes of the fuseholder which contact the fuses, before reinstalling them is a good idea too!
