'89 740 GL Cold Start Problem 700

ok, the car is bosch. peel the boot on an injector to get at the terminals. use a digital meter and crank the car. should be 400-600mv. if ok, look at the ignition. if no, check the ect for voltage. pull the connector and see if 5v is there with key on, green/white wire. no, check the wiring to the ecm. ok, check the resistance at the same terminal on the sw and ground. 68 degrees f-2000 ohms, 32f-5800 ohms. if ok, check voltage at the ecm pins 5 and 13. the back of the connector has to come off, so it can be poked like the injector was. if the resistance is ok and there no 5v with everything else ok, power and grounds at the ecm need checking. good luck, chuck.
