When the throttle switch is on the idle contact, the injectors cut off completely until the RPMs come down to 1500 (if memory serves). There shouldn't be any fuel available to pop in the exhaust.

Leaky injectors on 1 and 4? Swap them around and see if the plug deposits follow?
