Aidan,

Check the plug wires one more time. Anticlockwise 1-3-4-2.

This got me bad on a b18 rebuild project. Switched 2&3 cylinders. The car ran really well on just 2 cylinders - so well I was convinced the problem was in the carbs. I sure felt stupid when I figured it out (a week later) but I was glad it was something simple.
