I find it pretty hard to imagine also! I wonder if there was something
in a bind somewhere that somehow got relieved in the final repair......
Diff overheating is normally the result of something inside the diff
or extreme overload. Is it limited slip? A limited slip diff with slightly
different-sized tires will overheat (among other things).
