I can not, and will not believe that a slightly bad front wheel bearing can cause your pinion gears at the back to run hot. I refuse. I am stubborn and will never be convinced even if its true.
I more expect something fixed itself coincidentally athe the exact time you were changing the bearing.
Glad to hear you got it fixed! Geez... thats a lot of work you did to finally solve a problem I would have lived with... until it got bad enough to more easily diagnose anyhow...
