Again thanks, your post was most enlightning. I will now try your trick by spraying water/alcohol into the intake and watch for the effect. If this really works (I'm thinking black mushroom clouds, better warn the neighbours), I'll make it a monthly routine. As I'm up for an oil change anyway, I first thought I'd try something more drastic, but I'll leave that for now.
