Re: possibility of stuck valve.
When I checked the spark plugs, there was noticable pressure in the #2 and #3 cylinders, they hissed when the plugs got loose enough. Maybe the other cylinders too, but didn't notice/don't remember. Wouldn't that tend to indicate that the valves were sealing up just fine. After all, they can't get stuck closed, can they? Not without serious damage to the camshaft. So, if they can only get stuck open, then they were not stuck if there was pressure in those cylinders several minutes after the engine was shut off. Right?
