I use a diesel cable so the pedal end is a little different.
My main problem is that the heat builds by the botom of the header/trans end of clutch cable housing. Then the lining of the cable housing and the coating on the cable melt together. This stiffens the clutch pedal (after I break it loose) and eventually breaks an end off the cable because it is to much force.
My shielding right now is exhaust wrap on tha cable covered by a peice of aluminum I bent into a shield.
I like the idea of the 260 master cylinder. I didn't know Volvo had that.
