You have an 855T. I have the sedan version, and the ride is harsh at times - many people say the T is harsh compared with the non-T. I don't know of a commomly held belief that the suspension is a sore spot on 850's. I have to admit that once my spring seats were replaced I have a metal-on metal sound when the right wheel drops into a deep depression. Other than that occasional sound it is ok. With 3,000 in and your current state of affairs I can see why you want to move on. It sounds like you need a new mechanic or a new car...
