Considering S70. Reliable? S70

Hello, We own a 1998 V70 the wagon verson of the S70. I feel I need to be honest with you. The car very comfortable to drive and the power train has been very reliable. We have 115, miles on it still runs very well. However, as the saying goes, "the devil is in the details" describes this car perfectly. We have had more "little" things go wrong with this car. It truly nickle and dimes you to death. Everything from the ABS computer failing at 75k, to climate control failing twice, locks breaking, sensors failing, etc. etc. You name it and it's probably happened to our vehicle. I've heard through the grapevine that is is very common for 1998's & 1999's. They made major changes to interior in 1998 and that could explain some of the issues. We litterally dump $250 to $500 everytime it visits the shop, even for oil and lubes. The only other complaint I have is the interior road noise is excessive for a "luxery" wagon and it goes don't expect more than 30k to 35k on a set of tires. Hope this helps.
