What's with my windshield wipers? SAFETY PROBLEM! 850 1994

What is it with my wipers? The arm is always coming loose on the post, especially the driver's side. I'll be driving in the rain, and the arm stops sweeping. The post is turning, but the nut on the arm is loose and not holding the arm to the post. I replaced the arm with a new one, as it was bent anyway, but no joy. The splines on the post are OK, and I've cleaned any potential grease and junk out of the splines. But about every other time I'm driving in the rain, the stupid nut backs off, and the wiper gets stuck...usually at an inconvenient and unsafe time, like when I'm behind a truck on the interstate in heavy traffic.

I've torqued the nut down well, then tried a star washer, then red LockTite on the threads, then red LockTite on the nut AND the post.

Today, it came loose AGAIN!

Do I just give up on the wipers and rely on Rain=X, or is there a cure?
