Nothing wrong with the blower motor. The B1 4-1-9 = Power unit giving faulty diagnostic signal. The power unit is the resistor and it must be for an ECC unit, the manual part replacement will not work. Your ECC control unit in the dash is working just fine, don't replace that either.
When you first turn the engine on, the ECC goes through a check list: turn on the AC, move all of the vents, check all of the temp sensors, and check the blower motor. If anything fails, the lights will blink and the unit will go into manual mode - you then need to turn the dials off "auto" and adjust things the old fashioned way.
But if the power stage/resistor is not working, allowing you to set the blower speed to something other than high or off, you need to get an ECC power stage.

Clean out the PCV real soon. The factory put in a plastic screen, you are to take it out and throw it away. The screen serves no function except to get clogged and screw up the engine.
