FCP has them for $115, you could also try DarilWaltrip Volvo in Tennessee which is very for OEM parts, your local dealer will want around $125.

The 1995 and up resistors are different than 1993/4, so what you got at the salvage yard probably won't work correctly. Unless there is a 1993/4 car with ECC in the JY, forget it.
As to the "flame trap", there are 2 areas. The PCV nipple at the air intake hose is what gets clogged first and has the screen. Clean that out first, before new plugs, etc. Make sure the small vacuum hose is clean on the inside and not full of carbon.
The other portion is the oil separator, under the intake manifold. This requires a bit of work to replace because the intake manifold has to come off.
I would clean the throttle body, with a new gasket before doing the oil separator. If you suspect that there is a lot of "gunk" build up in the engine, you could investigate using AutoRx in the engine oil to clean out everything. It really does work.
