I'm jealous of you, I moved recently and lost the garage, and the driveway.

Interesting they check codes on the 95, back in Missouri they just have safety for the pre-OBD cars. $12 inspection for the 240, but $36 for the '96 850....

Did you have the inspection at the 'lousy' corner garage, or the volvo shop? If the volvo shop, try taking it to the idiots and maybe they won't check!
