Thanks Klaus,

2 things .... when i push on the belt, how much "give" should there be?
no give? 1/2 inch?
And if that's fine...
What voltage readings would indicate I have a voltage regulator issue?
Will there be fluctuations or just a low or high reading?
Do I take those endings at the battery also or at some other point?

Thanks for the hint with VR replacement.
Timing is bad because it's been darn cold up here lately but today it was about 50 degrees.... not lasting though. Back to freezing tomorrow I think.
