code P0352 S70 T5 S70 1999

Cleared codes; swapped coils between cylinders 1 and 2; same code--circuit fault on #2.
Put a new plug in # 2 (with anti-seize compound), cleared codes, started up, and again got circuit fault code on #2.
Looks like it's not either the plug or the coil(?); further suggestions welcome. I have an Auto-Xray generic OBDII reader. Dealer is over a hundred miles away. What more can I do here?
