I think the only volvos the local mech ever worked on are mine; definitely not trained on them. I shudder to think of the bill for having the car flat-bedded to St Louis ( did it when the throttle control seppuku'd at 60K); Maybe I'll get some more books and tools and get back with you. Meantime, in case I get some nerve, how do I go about relieving the fuel pressure before swapping injectors? Also, I'm curious about the relationship between the injector and the spark as it might be shown by the 0352 code: is the code just a generic " something wrong with x cylinder", or is there a necessary connection between the controls for the spark coil and the injector ? Is that where the reference to a possible defective driver in the Motronic comes from?
(Before I started hanging about the Brickboard, I thought the Motronics were an early 60s vocal group..like Malvina and the Motronics...)
