Yes, the CPS has many names, but that one seems universally accepted here. If you don't know how old it is, just replace it for $32 from FCP Groton.
The hardest part is access to the 10mm hex bolt that holds it to its mounting bracket. You can't see it and touch it at the same time. I currently have a friend's '90 240 with a CPS bolt I haven't been able to loosen so far. There is a danger of breaking it off if too much torque is applied. That, or dropping anything down the hole probably means the Tranny has to be pulled or moved back at least.
The bolt can be accessed (from Passenger side) with a box wrench in the left hand -- or from above with ratchet extensions as needed and a "wobble socket" at the bottom.
