Charging system woes 140-160

If the charging system is setup like a 240's, check the carbon brushes. They may be short or not making proper contact because of bad pusher springs or dirty/worn slip rings.

(With a 240, the amp light goes off after startup, unless the brushes are bad or the thin red wire attached to back of alt is grounding somewhere.)
