Sorry, I digressed. You are absolutly right, when your alternator craps out, it sucks no matter which brand you have. Alternators are a fail prone item and I guess my main point is being able to run into any Napa in North Dakota, or any where else, and being able to get back on the road in a matter of hours instead of days...like the time I stopped for gas in the middle of... tryed to restart the car, and discovered that the plastic timeing gear had sheared itself to death.
