I concur. Having replaced 7!GM alternators [Iknow-I'm just stubborn] on my 145, I can attest to the unreliability of that unit. The failures were vibration or heat related. I switched back to the SEV Marchal unit with a dealer sourced voltage regulator & have had no problems since.
