thanks..fuel can on ground/in car was to be next mission..I have a steel line from the tank to just short of the pump. I have not replaced said steel line...it does look original. I haven't done so yet because I could not work out why it would only exhibit such symptoms once the car warms up/after 10 minutes, and I am a fan of logic..but I shall try what you suggest. Thanks again, David.
