Is this car new to you? I had a Chevy that drove me crazy with rust from the gas tank. First it clogged up a couple of filters in the carb, then two aftermarket filters, then I had to have the carb rebuilt because it was full of fine rust.

Eventually, when it clogged up two filters in parallel, I got rid of the tank. I had to rebuild the carbs again also.

This happened over a three month period after I purchased the car, each time the problem was fuel starvation a few days after the last repair.
