Thanks for your input George.

I don't fully understand how different gearing fits in. Are we talking about the gear that drives the speedo cable out of the rear of the overdrive? For this gear to have a different number of teeth, wouldn't it have to be a different diameter? Is it possible to fit a different size gear without changing the mating gear inside the gearbox? Or is there some adjustment in the centreline distance of the driven gear?

As I said in the original post, I'm not too bothered by the error. If I can find an easy fix, I might give it a go. Otherwise, I'll learn to live with it.
