Help - Poor idle; poor acceleration; missing 700

I dare not drive my 1990 740 GL (Regina, 199K), unless I am on a death wish. It runs really rough and barely idles. Very poor acceleration from a stop. If I punch the throttle, the engine sometimes stalls.

I read the 700/900 FAQ and made some educated decisions. These include replacing the FPR, crank sensor, cap & rotor, plugs & wires, and fuel filter. I tested the Regina Air Temp sensor & MAP, and they seem within range. The oxygen sensor tested OK. The Fuel pressure at the rail is ~32psi.

Nothing seems to make a dent in solving the problem.

I did hook up my timing light to see if timing is a problem. Correct me if I am wrong, but I hooked the induction to cylinder #1 and marked the hole on the pulley. The timing light showed the mark at the bottom of the pulley. It cannot be off 180 degrees. The engine would not even run. Maybe the timing belt slipped? It is only 45K old.

I am not sure what to do next.

Any expert advice?

Thank you
