Hmmmm.... The damper slip makes sense. I wonder if I can re-align the two, or maybe make a mark that aligns with TDC. The fuel pump is a worry, but I want to exhast all other avenue before I jump on that. The catalyst is the orginal. I am thinking of cutting it out to see if it makes a dent. I must say that the muffler internal parts are rattling badly when the engine is running. Do you know of any exhast tests?
